CHICAGO, IL., March 3rd, 2020
Pyrotechniq Productions, A leader in Chicago Event Entertainment, has been recognized and certified as a WBE, or Women’s Business Enterprise. As of February of 2020, the company is joining a collective of nearly 15,000 other women-owned businesses across the United States.
A WBE is defined as a business that is at least 51% owned, operated and controlled by women / a woman. This certification grants these women-owned businesses access to additional networking, training opportunities, mentoring, and a support system of hundreds of other WBEs. The organization overseeing certification for WBE membership is the Women's Business Enterprise National Council.
"We’re honored to participate in the rigorous WBE certification program, and plan to remain a member until diversity in business ownership is more normalized." said Founder, Ashley Bertling. "Women-owned businesses employ over 9 million people across the U.S. and generate over $1.7 trillion in sales. As gender equality and other social issues related to women continue to dominate the national stage, these numbers are certain to grow exponentially in the time to come."
